    By uninstalling the realtek drivers and having the microsoft audio drivers instead it now plays (again) through my headphones. I had a similar issue as the others, in my case the speakers of my laptop would work but it would refuse to play any audio through my headphones no matter what setting in davinci resolve itself. You aren't using the realtek drivers but the microsoft provided drivers as seen in your screenshot. Not new, but working here so I recommend revisiting the driver for your specific hardware. This is one we are using on one of the systems. I presume from the success some have had updating their drivers that this is worthy of attention.
